We all know flexibility is the key to airpower (according to us Air Force folks), so despite having to cancel our in-person Spark Collider and Pitch Bowl events in Austin this week, we're making them virtual!

Brought to you out of Mission Control in Capital Factory and home of AFWERX Austin, we'll bring you keynotes, breakouts, and other programming that’s intended to catalyze virtual “collisions” between the Air Force’s toughest problems and the resources, companies and people with potential solutions.

This event is being hosted with our defense partners including Army Futures Command, NavalX, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Innovation Network.

The full event will consist of four tracks:

    STRATFI Showcase Agenda

    Air Force senior leadership will highlight some of the companies in the running to receive a portion of a combined $1 billion in Air Force Strategic Financing (STRATFI) commitments, thus providing a way for SBIR Phase II companies that may require greater investment to deliver and scale promising and nationally strategic solutions.

    Spark Collider Agenda

    The Spark Collider is designed to educate members of the Department of Defense, industry, and academia on how to interact with one another to solve problems and accelerate solutions. There will be four different rooms for the breakouts: the red, white, blue and black rooms.

    How can I access the virtual event on AFNET (Air Force Network)?

    Why is this event virtual now?

    In light of the City of Austin’s declaration of disaster due to the potential spread of COVID-19 and the cancellation of SXSW®, the U.S. Air Force has decided to cancel the in-person Spark Collider and Pitch Bowl events scheduled for March 10 to 12 in Austin, Texas. We decided to go virtual instead as a way to connect even more stakeholders across our defense innovation network.
