COVID-19 National Response Team

As part of the COVID-19 National Response Team's effort to combat COVID-19, the Joint Acquisition Task Force (JATF) was established to synchronize and support the acquisition execution of DoD’s COVID-19 response to interagency (Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requests for medical resources.

On July 10, the JATF opened the Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) to solicit concepts from industry in support of domestic industrial capacity for the JATF and HHS COVID-19 response priorities. The CSO will be used in lieu of the COVID-19 JATF Industry Portal, which is no longer enabled.

JATF - Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO)

This announcement has been reissued to administratively update the solicitation number (previously FA3002-20-S0002) and highlight the CSO's purpose for bolstering industrial capacity for domestic supplier base in support of JATF & HHS COVID-19 response priorities. All pending award determinations submitted under the previous solicitation number remain valid for government review and consideration.

This CSO announcement (FA7013-20-S-0002) anticipates soliciting solution briefs through separate & periodically published Areas of Interest (AOI) to meet JATF & HHS COVID-19 response priorities; with an emphasis on Strategic National Sourcing strategy that seeks to strengthen direct or tangential domestic supplier sources, increase market resiliency/competition with a goal of bolstering the national industrial capacity for medical, pharmaceutical and/or other personal protective equipment.

  • Please review the CSO and published Areas of Interest for instructions on how to submit your solutions brief, and review this document for vendors questions and government responses. Areas of Interest have been extended and are now scheduled to close at 5 p.m. CDT on August 7, 2020.

    *The Government reserves the right to award a FAR Part 12 contract or an Other Transaction (OT) under 10 USC 2371b agreement, including prototype and follow-on production, or no contract instrument at all, a contract as a result of this solicitation.

    CARES Act: Loans for Businesses Critical to Maintaining National Security

    The U.S. Department of the Treasury is accepting loan applications from eligible businesses that are critical to maintaining national security (“Borrowers”).

    Borrowers are encouraged to submit their completed application materials by 3 p.m. EDT on May 1, 2020, for expedited review. Applications received after 3 p.m. on May 1, 2020, may not be considered, but the Treasury Department may, in its discretion and subject to the availability of funds, consider such applications for approval.
